Matt is a baritone under the tutelage of Manfred Pohlenz and has spent many years performing on stage as an actor and a singer.

Most recently, Matt toured nationally with “Co-Opera,” performing as Bartolo in “The Barber of Seville.” Other operatic credits include performing with the Melbourne Opera Chorus in their productions of “Tannhauser,” “HMS Pinafore,” “Lohengrin” and Matt also acted as assistant director to the chorus for “Roberto Devereux.” Matt has performed as the bass soloist at Port Fairy’s last two annual performances of Handel’s “Messiah.”

As an actor, Matt has performed with Theatre of the Winged Unicorn as Walter Hartright in “The Woman in White,” Thurio in “The Two Gentlemen of Verona,” Edgar Linton in “Wuthering Heights” and Tuzenbach in “The Three Sisters.”
